We offer unique and memorable hands-on experiences, tailor-made for you and because you are booking our venue privately for your group, it’s also an intimate location, giving you great scope to catch up with friends and family, whilst at the same time, having a party!
Start in the kitchen with fun and flavour as you learn how to prepare your own delicious lunch or dinner which you then get to enjoy together or choose from one of our other fantastic fun hen party offerings.

We have the perfect ingredients for your unique hen party.
We can organise a fun, hands-on cookery class resulting in wonderful food, lots of laughter and a very memorable occasion. We can also offer farm outdoor activities including sheep herding and hill walking or what about some candle making? We can cater for parties right up to 48 people.
How could it get any better? How about a luxurious farmhouse sleepover for up to 21 guests?

With Catherine leading you all in preparing a 3 course meal as you interact and chat between yourselves and with Catherine. This is a wonderful fun event that creates memories that will last a life times and recipes you will use forever more.
We’re here to help make your special event very special indeed. Let’s plan that birthday party, reunion, anniversary, team building reward or whatever you have in mind. We can start with a fabulous cookery class: Prepare and cook your own gourmet three-course meal together and then sit down and enjoy it. Or we’ll cook for you as you roam the farm and enjoy country pursuits including archery, falconry, Gaelic games, hiking and even sheep-herding.
In this 2 hour hands-on cookery class, the hens will be taken through their paces to create their very own gourmet three course meal with a wide variety of recipes to choose from including our most popular Southern Italian where you also have some fun making your own pasta. Then you all get to sit down and enjoy the fruit of your labour in our Tayberry Barn.
Have fun making your own Infused Gin flavours and crazy Gin Cupcakes! A warm welcome awaits you at Ballyknocken Cookery School, aprons on and let’s have a bit of fun! In this 2 hour hands-on course you will be shown the secrets of how to infuse gin with wonderful flavours and colours like Raspberry & Pomegranate or Cucumber & Mint. After the class, you will enjoy your gin treats in our parlour room in Ballyknocken House.
We’re here to help make your special event very special indeed. With our wonderful tutors leading you all in preparing a very enjoyable three course Southern Italian meal or delicious bakes, as you interact and chat between yourselves this is a wonderful fun event that creates memories that will last a lifetime and recipes you will use forever more.
In this 2 hour hands-on cookery class, every “Chocolatier” will create their own exquisite truffles, chocolate chilli fondue and chocolate strawberry cupcakes! After the class, you will enjoy your masterpieces with a glass of bubbly in our parlour room or you can enjoy them as part of a delicious four course dinner served in our private dining room at Ballyknocken House or Tayberry Barn.
In this 2 hour Chicks in the Kitchen Cookery Masterclass, learn how to make chocolate & red wine cupcakes, lemon & blueberry loaf and enjoy our delicious cupcake cocktails! After the class, you will enjoy your masterpieces in our parlour room or you can enjoy them as part of a delicious four course dinner served in our private dining room at Ballyknocken House or Tayberry Barn.
Exclusive House Hire
You can also exclusively hire Ballyknocken House for your hen party for B&B to create a home away from home for your special event. We have 7 bedrooms all equipped to 4* Standard reflecting the Victorian Style of the premises. Each room is tastefully decorated with some rooms featuring splendid roll-top baths.
Across the courtyard our converted Milking Parlour suite has three double/twin en suite bedrooms with its own living area.
We can host and plan your special stay with us for up to 21 guests.
