MARY’S SWEET RAISIN SODA BREAD EXPERIENCE

Mary’s Sweet Raisin Soda Bread
A Private Hands-On Experience
Step into the heart of Ballyknocken Cookery School for a wonderfully traditional Irish baking experience with Catherine Fulvio.

In this intimate, hands-on class, Catherine will share the story behind Mary’s Sweet Raisin Soda Bread, a much-loved family recipe passed down through generations at Ballyknocken and as features on recipe.tv. Together, you’ll make your own loaf from scratch, learning the simple techniques and little secrets that create the perfect Irish soda bread.

From soaking the raisins in sweetened Irish breakfast tea to mixing, shaping and marking the loaf, participants are fully involved from start to finish. Then comes the best part – we step into Catherines family home, an 1850s farmhouse to enjoy your freshly baked bread, warm from the oven, with Irish butter, fresh jam from our farm and a cup of tea.

A relaxed and memorable taste of traditional Irish farmhouse baking, shared with Catherine in her family home and cookery school in the beautiful Wicklow countryside.
