Ballyknocken House & Cookery School is the perfect idyllic country setting for a private event and we’re here to help make your special event very special indeed. Let’s plan that special occasion, birthday party, wedding anniversary or family gathering.
We can start with a fabulous cookery class, having the best fun in our cookery school preparing your own delicious three course meal together, then you all get to sit down together to enjoy the fruits of your labour. Or we’ll cook for you as you roam the farm and enjoy country pursuits including a fun and interactive sheep herding activity with Pat the Shepherd and his collie Jess, archery, falconry or hiking in Carrick Forest.

Getaway Together…
You can also exclusively hire Ballyknocken House for your group for B&B to create a home away from home for your private getaway. We have 7 bedrooms all equipped to 4* Standard reflecting the Victorian Style of the premises. Each room is tastefully decorated with some rooms featuring splendid roll-top baths.
Across the courtyard our converted Milking Parlour suite has three double/twin en suite bedrooms with its own living area.
We can host and plan your special stay with us for up to 21 guests.
Activities and attractions available
Having welcomed many wonderful private groups and parties over the years, we understand that when it comes to your family gathering or special celebration a bespoke and unique experience is most welcome. We offer our private groups the option to enjoy fun and memorable experiences such as private cookery classes, activities and exclusive hire or our 1850’s Farmhouse to create a home from home.
Whether you stay over or visit for the day you can book the following
Fun and fabulous hands-on cookery class experience in our cookery school and then sit down and enjoy a delicious meal
Gin Tea Party or Chocolate and Bubbly class
Limoncello Making or Irish Coffee Making
Outdoor activities including archery, farm games and sheepherding (can be booked as additional activities when booking a private cookery class or private getaway)
