School Tour and Transition Year
A mere 47 Km south of Dublin, Ballyknocken Cookery School is ideally situated just off the N11 at Ashford, Co Wicklow. The school is a state of the art, hands on facility using top of the range Whirlpool Ovens designed specifically to foster maximum learning and development. Ballyknocken Cookery School is a culinary haven for all those eager to develop new skills in a fun interactive environment. The school has also attracted much media attention over the years appearing on RTE and TV3, along with the NBC Today Show in the US among many other countries worldwide.
At Ballyknocken students will be given the unique opportunity to engage in fun interactive cookery workshops. Our programme for transition year students is specifically designed to encourage effective communication and developing effective relationships with peers using team oriented tasks. The workshops are an excellent method of promoting learning through hands on experience and all of our students are guided every step of the way to certificate level by our expert team of Ballyknocken Cookery School tutors. We pride ourselves on our unique farm to fork programme giving students and an excellent opportunity to learn about food on an working Irish Farm.
