Ballyknocken Cookery School, House and Farm is scenically located on a farm a mere 47 KM from Dublin City Centre in Ashford, Co Wicklow. For generations, Ballyknocken Cookery School, House and Farm has welcomed guests from all over the world to our idyllic corner of the garden of Ireland.

This is home to Ireland’s celebrated Daytime Emmy-nominated TV chef and award-winning food writer, Catherine Fulvio. Steeped in history, Ballyknocken House and Farmlands have been a part of Catherine’s family (the Byrnes) for generations, with official records connecting them to Wicklow land as far back as the 1600s. Rooted in lush, green landscape at the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains; during the famine years, Ballyknocken House was a designated “Soup Pot” site (where soup was prepared in large cast iron vessels and served to the local community).

At the very heart of this Irish Farm lies Ballyknocken Cookery School, our award-winning cookery school which is nestled between lush herb, vegetable and soft fruit gardens for all our guests to enjoy. We offer bespoke, fun and interactive cookery workshops, showcasing local, seasonal produce and based on recipes perfected by the Byrne family over generations.
